Giving it up for a lost cause, you decide instead to continue with the day's plans -- shop a little, play a little, relax a little. By the time you make it to the shopping centre, you've almost convinced yourself that you imagined the whole thing.

The rest of the day is pretty much uneventful, a normal summer vacation day for a high school boy like yourself. You find a few manga to buy, enjoy a little time in the arcade, and then head home to read your new purchases.

When the morning again dawns, the unusual events of yestreday seem more like a dream than anything else. As time goes on, over the following months and years, the experience fades away, leaving no more than a vague sensation of having witnessed something supernatural.

While you never encounter the girls again, you do live a long, happy, and productive life -- only occasionally plagued by the feeling of having missed something important.
