Acting instinctively, you dive between the monster and the girl, absorbing the attack before it can reach her. You were able to brace yourself, a little, knowing what was about to happen, but the power in the attack tosses you about like a ragdoll. You're only just barely able to see that the monster, now off guard by her attack failing, falls to an attack from the girl you saved. You vaguely hear the phrase "Starlight Rhythm," which you assume to be the power's name, before slamming into a wall and dropping unconscious.

Things are fuzzy for quite a while thereafter, and your sense of time is completely skewed, but eventually you realize that you are 'walking' down a long tunnel toward a brilliant light in the distance. Are you ... dead? Is it The Judgement that you are bound for? If it is, at least you go before it with head held high, knowing that you didn't stand idly by.

Gradually you become aware of distant voices and a shaking like an earthquake. It might be that you aren't wholly dead yet. If you hang in there, you may still be able to survive. But, the light you're headed toward ... is comforting, and holds the promise of easing all your aches and pains and troubles.
