The Haunted House:
Tip-toe Through the Tulips
Remembering the old adage of 'always make right turns' in order to solve a maze, you quickly find yourself in the center - though perhaps going in was easier than going out would be if the 'walls' were higher. If you got stuck, you could clamber over the planter pots and get out that way. Within the center of the maze is a combination fountain-birdbath fashioned like a mermaid holding a giant clamshell. Several low, stone benches surround the fountain, offering a pleasant place for a weary-footed youth to sit and rest a bit and maybe contemplate the meaning of the maze. Then again, the garden seems to offer many places to rest, but precious few answers. It might be best to investigate other areas of the house? Return inside Ponder the maze |
